2002 Yamaha GP1200R
Bilge Pump installation.

I find it AMAZINGLY stupid, that Yamaha did not include an electric bilge pump, on such a high dollar ski. Like everything else, it appears to be up to the consumer. Hmmmm.

Parts:
Rule 500gpm automatic Bilge Pump
Riva Bracket and Rotary switch.
Wiring. Looms. Terminal lugs.
Sealant.
Bilge Hose.
2 SST clamps.

Tools:
Hose cutter.
Drill and bits.
Very Large Hammer.
Hand tools.

Rotary switch placed in the cowling in the unused posion of the gas switch. I like it!!! Wiring was handled from a temporary wiring terminal block previously installed in the front of the ski. A more permanent wiring block will be installed in the future.

Bilge water fitting is drilled thru the deck to the right rear.

Pump is installed near bottom of driveshaft. Note the angle is bent off center. The rule 500 auto was too tall to be used with the Riva Bracket, so I had to get out the "Riva Hammer", and make a "Riva adjustment" to it. I used regular hose, and SST clamps to connect pump to exit.

This engine PTO view shows where I grounded the pump. If you look at the rear cooling hose on the head, you can see the ground wire. I might pick a better location later.
