Stage 2 upgrade...

Goal:
67 mph on pump gas, with little or no porpoising in race conditions.
Currently:
65 mph on pump gas, with little to no porpoising in race conditions.
Parts:
R&D plate/grate/tabs, ProTec stuffer, sponsons, slotted T-handles, Riva Head with 41cc domes, Riva Stinger 3 with JetWerks water restrictor, Riva free flow tube, jetting provided by WPP (110L, 120H, 95Spring, 1.5N/S), Tau Ceti 4x2 Flame arrestors with water socks, Advent CDI using stinger curve, and Advent tach, with EGT probes drilled into single manifold, Garmin GPS3, 3deg XLT nozzle, Speed Freeks Nujet 13/19 speed cut on stock pump, reserve switch removedwith gas pickup flapper removed, running off reserve line only, 500gph rule autoswitch, with rotory switch installed in reserve location. Hydroturf seat cover, footwells, and pads.
Results:
Crankshaft blew out the 3 bearing from the front, at 40 hours. Converted over to Full stage 3.


Intake...
Stock jetting, and piston wash.

Parts: Advent ignition, Stinger curve, snap 60, Rev Limit 7500



Gauges...
Parts: Advent Sport tach with EGT probes, fast response probes, remote 12v source, Garmin GPS 3 with remote 12v, no battery.

Handling...
Goal: Tame the porpoise, without loosing top speed. Endurance is main goal.
Parts: ProTec Sponsons, and ride plate. R&D Aquavien Pro2 shoe and grate. Riva trim tabs. Speadfreaks Nujet 13/19 prop. Yamaha 3 degree XLT pump wedge.


Bilge Pump Install
I find it AMAZINGLY stupid, that Yamaha did not include an electric bilge pump, on such a high dollar ski. Like everything else, it appears to be up to the consumer. Hmmmm.
Parts: Rule 500gpm auto, Riva Bracket and Rotary switch. Wiring. Looms.
