Default Dawg... CC gprxp

I'm building another Gprxp potentially for sale, if I keep my MSX1500.

This is a factory race hull from 2000. It is approximately the same weight as a 2003-2008 G13R. Maybe a tad lighter.

It will be setup using "bullett racing" handling system, along with a 162mm Skat pump/prop and carbon fiber sponsons.

I havent settled on an engine platform, but I think the engine I have is damaged, so I might have an excuse to go into it and put together a close-course acceleration monster.

I'm also going to show how to build a pneumatic trim tab actuator system for less than the thousands that is charged now. Oside Bill is making mech trim tabs, so this will be a good match.

The top deck has options... I have an aftermarket "CF replica" hood, that "could" be used, and would make a nice mount for the RXP gauge. I have a gp12r seat, so that is what I'm going to use. It's not nearly as comfortable as a 13r seat. The deck needs some body work, but I'm not worried about it. It's for racing.

This boat was originally Steve Gold's old race boat. Here is a link to the build up when it was a triple piper race ski. I'll probably keep the Red/Black look.

Poor ol' gpr... left out in the rain with no friends.

The rear handle traded for some valvetrain parts.

Pic of the pump tunnel reinforcement after drilling oversized holes, before installing SST bars.

Finished putting in the bullet-racing pump shoe. Upgraded the bolts to M-8 on the shoe and grate. Ran them all the way into the hull, and used Nylocs on top of a SST bar, on top of the pump tunnel reinforcement. This was "pre-wiping-it-down-and-getting-sealer-everywhere.

What an aggressive grate! I'm going to have to think about how this thing hangs down.

Hull prep is almost done. Sanding down some rough spots. Getting ready to put in the mounts, battery, etc, before dropping in the engine.

I hate pump shoe installs!

Got hold of a 50mm SD pump adapter for cheap, and Ted made me up a 50mm driveshaft. Oside Bill made me up a 1" extension for the steering cable.

I sure hope the rideplate will fit... there isn't much "fitting" that can be done on this Bullett-racing kit.
